We are expanding our team to manage and improve our increasing portfolio and trading activities across Europe from our Aalborg office. We need diverse talent to keep ahead of the energy curve by joining our trading shift rotation while finding and analyzing trends and behaviors in the market. You will be encouraged to challenge and improve how we work, while supporting the net-zero green transition. The role will allow you to explore the trading dynamics of the power markets backed by physical assets, where optimization of batteries and flexibility in the portfolio play a vital role.

About you

You can come from a number of different backgrounds but to be successful in this role we expect that you:

• Have a Finance, Economics, STEM degree or similar

• Speak and write fluently in English

• Have a passion for trading

• Possess fast decision-making skills under pressure

• Work well with accuracy and attention to detail

• Have a competitive attitude and focus on results

• Demonstrate strong communication skills and ability to work in a team

• Are flexible in terms of working hours

The role

You will join a young and diverse team of approximately 15 traders characterized by expertise, curiosity, and innovation, where the fundamental principle is excelling together. The team is above individuals and taking pride in enabling each other to perform. The team consists of experienced traders, new traders and students all working together to reach our goals and help each other learn and grow personally and professionally. The night hours are traded from our Singapore office mixing our existing team with local talents from Singapore.

Our team is managing our full asset portfolio across renewables, flexible assets, and battery optimization through auctions and continuous intraday markets, which allows our traders to be involved across all short-term markets. We work actively with our stakeholders from e.g. portfolio management, meteorologists, algo development and other trading teams to enhance the market understanding to improve trading and build out our portfolio in the best possible way, while staying ahead of and take advantage of market developments.

As part of the team your responsibilities will include:

• Trading intraday power in Europe and UK where you manage our asset portfolio within our risk and compliance framework

• Developing and execute day-to-day and intraday trading strategies

• Optimizing portfolios and exploiting the synergies between them

• Taking active part in developing and executing of algorithmic trading and automatization

• Performing market analysis to find new profit opportunities and build strategies to tap into these

• Providing open and honest feedback 

• Constantly reviewing and reflecting on your own trading to look for ways to improve the performance, both your own and of the team

• Participating in the shift rotation that includes day, evening and weekend shift rotation
