We’ve been awarded “Best Workplaces in Europe”
Our Danish entity of Centrica Energy has been recognised as one of the Best Small & Medium Workplaces in Europe in the Great Place to Work® yearly measure of the best workplaces in Europe, securing its position on the Top-100 list.
Global HR Director in Centrica Energy, Aki Danmark Palikaras, commented:
“We’re immensely proud to be recognised as one of the Best Workplaces in Europe™ 2024. This recognition is a testament to our people and how they power the unique and dynamic culture we have built at Centrica Energy. We’re an international business – with colleagues joining us from 50+ different countries across the world – so this recognition is particularly important for a business like ours, and to me signifies that our initiatives to create an even more inclusive, diverse, and equal workplace are effective.”
Today, Centrica Energy operates with offices across seven European countries, and plays an important role in managing renewable assets and balancing energy markets. Aki Danmark Palikaras said:
“Centrica Energy plays an important role in the green transition – we help secure the flow of power and gas to consumers and businesses across the world, providing a strong sense of purpose for our people. We’re able to make a difference, because our people drive the feeling of togetherness across nationalities, gender, age, and geography. That unity is what drives us to constantly improve our products, services, and culture – the nomination is first and foremost a recognition of our fantastic people.”
Award-Winning Workplace
Since first being recognised as a Great Place to Work® during 2022, Centrica Energy has achieved a number of awards. During 2024, the business was recognised as the Best Workplace for Gender Equality in Denmark and achieved a 3rd place position in the Top-25 list of Best Workplaces in Denmark in the category for organisations with between 50-499 employees.
Best Workplaces in Europe™ 2024
Great Place To Work® identifies Best Workplaces in Europe by surveying over 1 million employees in Europe about the key factors that create great workplaces for all and analyzing company workplace programs impacting over 2.6 million employees in the region. The recognition is based on the Great Place to Work® certification, employee survey, and an extensive Culture Audit Profile, that describes the initiatives, actions, and workplace practices at Centrica Energy. This covers everything from Centrica Energy’s policies, practices, events, and initiatives that conducted by the People Team, Centrica Women’s Network, and employee-driven Staff Association.
