Determined to transform the carbon footprint of our business to net zero, we’ve set interim reduction targets and pledged to deliver on zero carbon emissions by 2045. Identifying and delivering on new initiatives to reach those goals, we’re focused on eliminating emissions across Scope I, II and III.

We give back to our communities

Alongside our commitment to energising a greener, fairer future and supporting our customers, business and the energy system in becoming net zero, we are also dedicated to making a positive impact in the communities where we operate.

 

Focusing on the themes of environment, poverty, health, children and young people, all employees are entitled to 15 hours of paid time off each year to volunteer for causes they care about. Volunteering also supports Centrica’s pledge to contribute 100,000 volunteer days by 2030. Each year, we see more and more Energy Movers making a meaningful difference for good causes.
