Business Management Graduate

The Business Management Graduate Programme is designed to give you the skills to drive a career in a complex international organisation and develop the next generation of talents within business management. You will complete three eight-month placements over two years, learning how to approach a variety of business problems supported by a network of senior leaders.

 

As part of our Graduate Program, you’ll be involved in shaping the future of energy with some of the world’s leading energy investors and businesses that are looking to re-shape the energy industry and bridge the future to a carbon-neutral economy.

 

Immersed in the fast-paced world of energy trading and international asset management, you’ll gain valuable insights into finance, trading, asset management and business development within power, natural gas and energy commodities.

Teams you'll work with
On the Business Management Graduate programme, you will work across a wide range of teams and functions, which could include Business Management, Compliance, Contract Management, Operations, Project Management, Risk, Strategy and more!

 

Throughout the programme, you’ll be supporting key commercial decisions as we look to continue to deliver against our growth strategy.

 

What you’ll be doing
You will be pushed out of your comfort zone and will be problem-solving from day one. On the programme, you’ll have the opportunity to deliver projects, drive change and develop a broad set of skills and experience from analysis to strategy, to project management and large-scale delivery.

Each placement will have its own unique set of challenges and provide you with significant learning opportunities and you may also have the chance to spend a placement abroad in either London, UK or Aalborg, Denmark.

Who are we looking for as a Business Management Graduate?

  • Graduated with, or on track to achieve a minimum degree grading of 9 or above in a Business Administration or economics or related subject
  • Passionate and dedicated on developing a career with Centrica Energy through our tailored immersive graduate programme
  • High level of commercial awareness
  • Strong problem solving skills, with the ability to ‘connect the dots’ seeing the inter-connections between issues, information and trends
  • Strong multitasking and prioritisation skills with the ability to work autonomously whilst adding value in your team
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills


As the rotations can sit in different departments which is located in either Denmark or UK, London, we expect the flexibility to undertake a placement in one of these locations.
