What made you make the move to Centrica Energy?

I joined Centrica Energy because I already felt like an Energy Mover by Nature, and the vision and strategy of Centrica Energy really spoke to me. It seemed (and still seems) meaningful to work for a company that wants to energise a greener, fairer future.


What do you do in your current rotation?

In my current role, I manage expectations between what Centrica Energy as a business can offer new and existing customers within renewable and/or flexible asset owners and corporate off takes. I follow the full process of getting approvals, drafting contracts, sending them for signing, and then registering them.

What is the best part of being a graduate at Centrica Energy?

The relationships built with the other graduates and the willingness from the rest of the business to explain different business areas in both big scale and in detail.

 

Can you tell us about an achievement you’re proud of?

I am motivated by helping others and finding solutions that optimise our way of working. Therefore, I am proud of my contribution to having AI help fill customer-specific data into our contracts. This has given the Contract Managers time for other, more valued tasks.

 

What’s your best advice for someone wanting to make the move and join the graduate programme?

Dare to fail – it can be scary to push yourself to the limit or think outside the box, but both are valued at Centrica Energy and failing is part of the journey.


What should someone dreaming of becoming an Energy Mover know about Centrica Energy?

It is a diverse and international workplace where friendly competition is everywhere.

So far in the Graduate Programme, I have learned to always stay curious and seek knowledge from stakeholders throughout the organisation to better understand the business.
