What made you make the move to Centrica Energy?

I decided to come to Denmark from Brazil to specialise in the sustainable agenda and to have a more business-oriented career focus. During my MSc in Aalborg, I worked on energy-related projects, and I did an internship as a biomethane feedstock trader. I found that it was an area that really motivated me, and Centrica Energy’s Graduate Scheme looked like a great place to start a career in energy by being exposed to different areas and skilled people.

What is the best part of being a graduate at Centrica Energy?

The Graduate Program is truly a great platform to expose you to different areas that otherwise we would probably not have the chance to get involved within such a short time. It enables you to have a complete view of the business and an understanding of how Centrica Energy works from end to end, and through this, define your final position in the company. Another great aspect is the people and the Graduate community.

The Graduate scheme at Centrica Energy allows you to be proactive and curious about your main interests, and the sense of responsibility and ownership has been present since day 1. The best part is that you can grow professionally together with amazing colleagues.

At Centrica Energy you will get challenged while having support to drive impact on a daily basis.

Do you have any reflections on your Graduate experience?

Now that the Graduate program comes to an end, I look back and feel super grateful for the community of other grads and all other people involved that helped us to develop and succeed. It was a challenging experience but that also came with many fun moments and learning. I am now transitioning into the Portfolio Manager role as my permanent position and being a former Graduate definitely helped me to learn and adapt quicker to the new role.
