What made you make the move to Centrica Energy?
I was always intrigued by the company as some of my former colleagues (very wise and nice people) had been working here for some years. I could only guess from that that it must be an interesting place to work with interesting problems to solve.
What does a Quantitative Analyst do?
I build models and tools and analyze data to help and support the Forward Asset Trading-team. My day typically starts with our daily stand-up where we inform each other of what is new, what is pending, impediment, etc. I usually have a couple of meetings per day and the rest of the time I can dig in the problems I am solving or help my colleagues. The most stressful part of the day is our mandatory daily foosball match after lunch.
