What’s your favourite thing about being an Energy Mover at Centrica Energy?
That my skills allow me to automate manual labour and solve challenging tasks. I like to see how my solutions help people excel at their jobs. On top of that, I enjoy helping my team set up good work processes and empower them to experiment with new technologies and ways to work together. I think it is important for people to like their work, so it is truly rewarding when I can make a positive difference for the people around me.

Can you tell us about an achievement you’re proud of?
We implemented a solid and reliable Power Forecast system, which has tremendously improved the onboarding process of new external forecast providers. This in turn, helps the traders get access to new and better forecasts faster, helping them make better trades. Besides the teams’ technical skills, setting up good processes helped us to become a very efficient and high performing team.

What’s your best advice for someone wanting to make the move and join the energy industry?
Surround yourself with smart people who will fuel your hunger for knowledge, motivate you to reach your goals and help develop your career.
