Centrica Energy and Amarenco are pleased to announce the continuation of their strategic partnership in the Las Naranjillas solar project with a 10-year power purchase agreement, reinforcing their shared commitment to the energy transition and to their respective counterparties.

Starting in January 2026, Centrica Energy will be the main offtaker of the 50 MW Las Naranjillas solar plant for a duration of 10 years, deepening its collaboration with Amarenco. Located in Carmona, Seville, Spain, the plant generates enough green electricity to power nearly 14,000 homes annually, while avoiding approximately 52,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions. The project supports Spain’s renewable energy targets and contributes to the decarbonisation of the European energy system.

This milestone reflects the mutual trust between both companies, who worked closely to identify solutions that enable long-term power purchase agreements in a dynamic and challenging market environment. Through an innovative structure, the parties have successfully overcome traditional barriers, ensuring the financial and operational viability of the project without compromising on transparency or collaboration.

Our relationship with Amarenco is built on a shared vision to accelerate the decarbonisation of Europe’s energy system. The continuation of our partnership is a testament to what can be achieved when there is strategic alignment and a willingness to innovate.

Both companies reaffirm their commitment to developing sustainable, reliable, and scalable energy solutions, and will continue to explore new opportunities to expand their collaboration in the future.

We are proud to continue building alongside Centrica Energy. This agreement not only strengthens our market presence but also demonstrates that creative pathways can be found to bring high-impact renewable projects to life.
