Centrica Energy Marketing & Trading and Centrica Energy Trading becomes Centrica Energy

Centrica Energy Marketing & Trading (EM&T) and associated entities have today announced renaming to Centrica Energy with the purpose of consolidating and simplifying organisational identity across locations to delivering one organisation operating with a clear common identity.

As the trading and optimisation arm of Centrica plc, Centrica Energy incorporates EM&T’s Head Office in London and Centrica Energy Trading’s offices in Denmark, in addition to the business’ subsidiaries in Belgium, Germany, Singapore and sales offices in Norway and Sweden.

Together, Centrica Energy represents over 750 energy talents and specialists from across the globe, with operations running 24/7/365 from eight offices across all time zones. The new identity reflects the growth journey and transformation achieved by the business over the last few years, having achieved a global reach, taking a forefront position in the renewable energy transition, and securing energy procurement for the Centrica plc.

Now effectuated, the transition to Centrica Energy has no direct impact on the business’s operations, relationship or contracts with customers and counterparties. Legal entities will not be subject to change, and any customers or counterparties associated with the consolidated entities have been informed in due-time and through appropriate channels.
