SCADA Engineer

Centrica Energy is looking for a skilled SCADA Engineer to join our team in Aalborg. We are one of the leading trading houses in Europe managing assets across the continent. It is crucial for us to always have up to date data, insights and analyses which are provided by several different teams with each their specialty. The role

This role will challenge your technical communication abilities communicating with asset owners, service providers, and coordinating tasks and challenges internally within the team and internal development departments.

On an average workday, your principal responsibilities will include:

• Task coordinating with the team

• Setting up connections to assets

• Reacting to and fixing deviations in the data flow

• Communicating with service providers on solutions

• Having internal meetings on task coordination and development projects

The team is responsible for the ‘on call duty’, during out of office hours, (2. level support).

About you

You can have a variety of different backgrounds, but we imagine that you:

• Have a master’s or bachelor’s degree in data science, Automation engineering, Technology management and marine engineering or a similar degree

• Possess electrical and mechanical insight knowledge on power production

• Have great communication skills in technical English both verbal and written

• Have experience handling IT Network, data and protocol

It will be a clear plus if you do have:

• Insight on power plants, wind parks and solar parks parameters

• Hands-on engineering experience with industrial data interfaces

• Experience with markets and power grids across Europe
